If nothing else, we are getting word out about the importance of adopting at the shelter, the importance of being a responsible pet owner, and the importance of choosing a pet that is right for you. I would like to think that my photos help these animals get adopted, but if nothing else, I know our photos help the staff at the Shelter to focus on more important aspects at the Shelter.

Morris (72357) shares his personality with a wink. |
Other art forms that might help these animals would include drawing, painting, and printing. Imagine a silent auction of such artwork that would help raise money to benefit the Shelter.
Karen, I enjoy reading your posts. I believe that you had something to do with that cat getting adopted. Our class has made an impact over the last few weeks at the center and I hope Meredith will continue to offer the class! Think of how many animal's lives we could change!
ReplyDeleteKaren, I love the idea of raising money! A fundraiser would be such a wonderful success, especially at Meredith or through some other organizations in the community. There are many organizations I am sure that would partner with you to raise money. Great thinking!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of having an art auction I was thinking that would be a good idea too. Maybe the class could put something like that together! Your image of Morris is to cute! You did a great job of making the image brighter and capturing his personality. You also use the other tools very well too!
ReplyDeletethis picture made me smile almost immediately. it seems to really capture the personality of the cat. I actually had the same idea about art work being sold/auctioned as a way to get money raised for the shelter!! what group do you think would be the most interested in helping getting something like this started?
ReplyDeleteMorris is adorable! This photo is a perfect introduction to the world of photographing shelter pets. It is as if he is saying, "yes, come on in"!
ReplyDeleteVery good photograph.
